Separation of School and State:
Today my wife and I met with our son’s kindergarten teacher. We are sending him to a pricey private school, but we think it is worth it. It’s not a status thing; this school really offers an environment we think will be great for our son.It later occurred to me that sending a child to school is one of the most personal and serious decisions a family can make. For all the reasons that Americans strongly believe in separation of Church and State, they should also endorse separation of school and State.
On spiritual matters, the basic civil bargain runs like this: I promise not to use the force of law to make you (pretend to) believe in my religion, so long as you promise not to do the same to me. My freedom of conscience is very important to me, and I would never want to risk losing that in a society where the majority can enforce its religious views on the minority. I say this, even if my religious views are currently in the majority.
The same ought to hold for schooling. Even though I am a born again Christian, it would offend me if the government passed a law saying every child had to read the Bible, and go to church. But by the same token, it offends me that politicians dare to pass laws saying which biology and mathematics textbooks my child must read, and that he must go to school for a large portion of his life.
Whatever argument the modern American liberal could use to defend government intervention in schooling, could also be used to defend government intervention in religious matters. Of course it would be awful if the vast majority of parents were fools and didn’t educate their kids. But by the same token, it would be awful (in my mind) if the vast majority of parents raised their kids to believe there was no God, and that all of the universe in its majesty is really just a big coincidence.
It would be one thing if the government did a good job in the area of schooling. But of course, it fails miserably here too. That is why so many parents have embraced the homeschool movement, because it is the only way to protect their children from State-engineered propaganda.

Robert Murphy will teach Principles of Economics in the Fall of 2010 , an online class for all ages that will use his forthcoming book Lessons for the Young Economist. The class will run from September 7 until November 19, ten weeks of fantastic economics instruction from the ground up. His book, which is sure to become a standard text in the future, will be debuted in this class. Enrollment in the class is $250 and covers all materials, weekly lectures, office hours, quizzes, grading, and final exam. The class is designed for high school students, but it is the ideal class for gaining a solid foundation in economic science. The focus is on the Austrian understanding. The knowledge gained will establish a rock-solid basis for all future studies in economics. The goal is to present economics in the same way that it was given to Mises, Hayek, and Rothbard early in their schooling, a paradigm to inspire a lifetime of understanding and scholarship.No prior exposure to economic logic is required. Students may opt out of quizzes, tests, and grading.

Also every week Professor Murphy will hold “office hours” (extended question-and-answer sessions) which will be every Saturday from 11am – 2pm EDT, with a 15-minute intermission. Office Hour attendance is NOT required, and students may drop in and out as they please.
Reading:
Readings include primary documents, works by contemporaries, and recent scholarship and commentary.A full hyper-linked syllabus with readings for each weekly topic will be available for all students.
The primary text for the course will be Murphy’s new book Lessons for the Young Economist, which ). This books will be available both for purchase and as a free PDF download (click here for a draft version of the text).
Final Grade, Transcript, and Certificate of Completion:
The final grade will depend on participation (in both lecture and discussion sessions), essays, quizzes, and the final exam. Students will have access to a digital transcript for the course. We will add any future grades for future Mises Academy courses taken to this transcript. Students will also receive a digital, printable Certificate of Completion.
At this time the Mises Academy does not offer transferable credits, certifications, or degrees.

Since the Grizzly Reformation I have reinvested in the basics. Blogging is the most powerful weapon of mass instruction that I know today. I found I was spending too much time assisting others that were not buying into my vision, but instead just using my expertise for their own efforts. Now with only a few bad apples and the political landscape changing my hand was forced. I had to cut off the good with bad in order to salvage all I had built since July 27, 2007. It took Temerity but it is starting to pay off. Numbers don’t lie and the reach I have built and spent so much time crafting is starting to pay off. It seems I burned some bridges with the good but that could not be helped. I pray in time the good will come to see my vision and the reason behind my actions clearer.
The blog is so powerful today that I am spending my time building Theodore Media to reflect just that. Sure the online magazine and radio will come again, but all in good time. First I have a lot of work to do.
If you remember the ox cart wheel diagram I once posted when I tried the WPMU install. The WPMU was a new platform and never really worked for the effort. But, it taught me quite a bit. Sure there was a ton of let downs with technology and those operatives attracted to the effort, but it was all a great eduction and it taught me how vulnerable my effort was online today.
Today, I have been updating just about 30 blogs and now comfortable with the system I put in place. In addition now confident the system I put in place works, I am intending on bringing back those blogs I had with the WPMU install that just never quite took off.
Well, today I am not depending upon anyone else, as all too often happens you have to give away too much time and effort to be let down time and again. Now I only have myself to rely upon, faith and prayer to get it done. The numbers in this first initial 30 blogs encourage me to jump in with two feet bring back the original visioned blogs and add a few more.
Each and every blog covers either my interest or a faction of the Conservative ideals and values. It is my strategy to attempt to gain leverage and reach with a shotgun approach to blogging efforts. Most bloggers today focus on one or two blog efforts and seek to live and die by the rank they can grow them. My strategy is the same, but I am trying to do that for multiple blogs and in so doing I will have that many more attempts to share my vision and if possible sell advertising. Essentially each blog only has so many advertising retail spaces. My hope is that I can service my potential advertisers with many more options and provide a much bigger punch then competition online today.
It is just going to take some time for all these blogs to find their audience. Actually it is probably going to take me some time to differentiate each blogs voice. A lot of hard work, but honestly I find a lot of enjoyment in it.

- EWEverson.com is the blog that memorializes North Dakota and my great grandfather, E. W. Everson the Grizzly Bear. The only man I know who stood alone and then united Conservative neighbors from all three parties, Republican, Democrat and Independent to join with him in defeating Socialism right in his backyard so that I could be gifted with the Freedom and Liberty he crossed an ocean, pioneered, homesteaded, served and represented to obtain then defend. In 1921 after 4 years of the bitterest political fight known to this country the Independent voters Association that E. W. Everson formed and served as President recalled the first Governor in USA history and pulled the rug from underneath the Socialist Squirrel A. C. Townley political machine.
- ChadEverson.com is my own personal blog. This is also the one and only blog that is not updated often enough. I blog here when I feel I have something to say on a more personal level.
- GrizzlyGroundswell.com Founded July 27, 2007 this is the first and most prominent blog. This use to be a blog with Conservative authors from 48 of the 50 states. It really has a great history. Today it no longer unites the Conservative thought, voice and image but instead shares my vision for it. Of course I also utilize it to chase some Socialist Squirrels as well.
- GrizzlyGroundswell.org is the archives of the original blog from 2007 until late 2009. Despite the misfortunes, I was able to salvage some of the posts. I have not cleaned out all the operatives posts, but will in time.
- SocialistSquirrel.com Is the blog echoed on the Rush Limbaugh Radio Show and may be even more popular then the Grizzly Groundswell blog. This blog I chase socialist squirrels and laugh at their antics with humor and a bit more risque commentary and content.
- GrizzlyDefense.com This is the blog that supports and lifts up our Military and their families that so often get forgotten.
- WGGRN.com is the home and future home of the World Wide Grizzly Groundswell Radio effort. After I get Temerity Magazine up and Grizzly I will begin on doing what I am doing for the blogs with the radio effort as well.
- TemerityMagazine.com is on hold for a few months while I get all the blogs launched and settle into the rigor’s of keeping over 60 blogs updated and publishing content daily.
- BlueHillTownship.com is the blog in which I get Grizzly right in my very own backyard and share with the world the fun and wonder we find surrounding ourselves with life.
- RadioActiveOTR.com is actually the brain child of my friend Dave Anfinrude. Dave gifted me with his collection of old time radio recordings for WGGRN.com and the blog now reflects those old time radio and tv shows that are worth hearing and watching again and again. When I get WGGRN.com up again either later this year or early next year, RadioActiveOTR and the old time radio recordings may have a station all their own if things work out. I love these old time radio recordings and can’t wait to get them back up on air.
- YourTemerity.com #YourTemerity blog shares inspirational text juxtaposed with images that will hopefully inspire you to find your Temerity.
- TemerityToday.com is another Temerity brand blog that you can find some inspiration to share temerity.
- DailyTemerity.com blog is another Temerity brand blog that I can market to different audiences then the other temerity blogs.
- TheClayEmpire.com was my sole proprietorship and is now a portion of Theodore Media LLC. It is is my studio art and craft. The blog deals with clay and the wonders of it.
- GrizzlyRaku.com is a blog about the Raku Firing process, art and craft.
- RakuMarbles.com blog is all about my Grizzly Raku marbles Invention, and creations. I am the only one in the world that is making these specialized marbles. I invented them by combining a late 1800′s patent and the raku firing process.
- RakuClayTile.com blog shares with the world the raku clay tile that I just don’t get enough time in my studio to create vast numbers of them. Yet, with the Grizzly Groundswell Reformation I am trying to make more time for my studio work.

However, Temerity Magazine is still on Vacation. I was going to try to pull it together for July 27, 2007 My three year Anniversary but I have been enjoying my Summer too much and I am still not happy with my strategy for it. So It will be put out to pasture until at least late August.
In other news, Grizzlybuddypress.com will be deleted August first and I am adding a handful of other blogs that I have been itching to get up online. I am sorry to see GrizzlyBuddyPress.com go away, but there must not be a need for it as no one has signed up for it and honestly, it is just one less thing to worry about.
I hope you have been enjoying the daily updated blogs with 30 now and more on the way, you should be able to find a handful that tickle your fancy!

Chetly Zarko was found dead July 20th in his apartment. The brave Patriot that defined Temerity was taken from us and his good fight he valiantly brought to the evil found in his backyard. I just learned about Chetly’s death and I am still shaken. It sounds as if the Chicago Politics that Chetly shined the light upon have finally claimed this Patriot. Conservative activism is not for the feint of heart. Every day we play with all the cards on the table, and all in. Chetly Zarko, the brave patriot will be missed.
Chetly took this picture of me when I was awarded the 2009 best states blogger award from the Sam Adams Alliance. He captured one of the best days of my life. I remember talking with him that night about his next project. Chetly always impressed me and I was so humbled that he was there to celebrate the recognition for all my hard work. Then he captured that night in this one photo like no one else.
Chetly your good fight is won, your good race is over. I thank God for your effort and may you now find peace and glory in heaven.

On Vacation is a nice way of saying that I have created two different issues for today and I am still not happy with it. So, I am going to skip the issue this June 29th and rethink the Temerity Magazine. The problem I am running into is that my mind is still on assisting others to get online and Grizzly. Yet, my whole strategy has changed because there was no income or any hope of any income with the old strategy. So, Temerity Magazine will once again get a new life here this fall. When words cease to have enough meaning to equal the gift given to us, when only our actions and prayers are left, we thank God for his blessing upon this nation. We thank God for all those that have laid down their lives so that we may have the opportunity to protect freedom and liberty.

I was walking today in the U of MN Student Union. I love being surrounded by young students with everything in life at their feet. It was rejuvenating talking with students and workers in the union and on the campus. I am a person that believes that education is lifelong. I love the energy found on campus. I also love the diversity found there.
There was a man giving away English Quran’s (It is funny my spell check is not helping with the Quran spelling. I guess the Islamic Fascists can just try to take my head if it is spelled incorrectly.)

Well, nothing ever works as planned and instead of having a good month to fine craft this transition, it will be a work in progress. Nothing new, just not ideal. So you can watch as the changes go into place.
Being an artist, I love the design of WordPress blog themes. I enjoy the visual aspects keeping them fresh and relevant. One thing you will not see on my sites is an insecure draping of my sites in patriotism or Americana. Hey, I am as patriotic and American as the rest of my Conservative bloggers, but don’t you notice that those sites and efforts that drip red, white and blue usually have another agenda in mind? There is nothing easier then wrapping yourself with the flag to deceive the casual patriot that you fit into the Conservative thought, voice and image. However, it is hard to dress up content. Hell, it is hard to produce content.
I thought by having the radio, blogs and magazines up until the 29th without changing anything about them, I would have time to come up with a truly concise and retooled Grizzly Groundswell Reformation. Well, our radio hosting company really bunged up our royalty license and threatened with the fact that if our station went on air without royalty license because of a muck-up, I would be in the muck having to pay royalty or fines to those great artists. So I to be safe I deleted our content and shut it down early because of the liability.
So the radio is down, and the blog sites are now set so that I am the lone author. This was the hardest step in this Grizzly Groundswell Reformation. The radio decision was a simple business decision It was hard and painful, but it was black and white. It was a leap of faith that I decided to become the lone author of my online effort. I have always since July 27, 2007 lifted up everyone else. This is not only a strategy change, but it is a personal evolution I am striving for as well. The pastor needs to become a better business man.
So why in the hell would I turn away the best authors across this country that were providing me free and brilliant content to drive my sites to the success they are today? Why would I simply throw away something so brilliant? Well, it was painful, but the political landscape has changed.
How has it changed?
Well, in July 27th, of 2007 there was a need to unite the Conservative thought, voice and image. Today, we have a Socialist Squirrel Administration that has done that for us! So today what is needed are clear attainable goals, and a voice and message that you own and shout proudly with your message to win hearts and minds! It is time for ideas, values and yes…hopefully your Agenda’s will prevail! Although, know that I pray that my message, wins the day.
The only problem with uniting the Conservative thought, voice and image like I have since July 27th, 2007 is that I end up holding a lot of hands and dealing with chicken coop pecking order crap that takes me away from my life long calling. I am not saying that I will never try to unite Conservatives. In fact, I hope to unite them behind my vision! But, in politics and in life, I can’t wait to slug it out with other great Conservative minds, but I am not naive enough to think that my ideas alone will win the day. It is our diversity of thought, values and ideals that truly make us American and not pathetic Socialist Squirrel nuts! But lets not to be hard on these nuts, they do give us a good laugh with their silly world view.
I am looking forward to actually getting to know my fellow bloggers and not just uniting them. The chicken pecking order that these operatives try to overtake movements like the Grizzly Groundswell are tiring and it occured to me about a month ago, that I am wasting too much time and effort on operatives and not getting my message out. So, a Grizzly Groundswell Reformation is here. It is simply a time management and selfish out of necessity shift in my online effort.
So I hope you join me. Comments are always open so get Grizzly. If your a Socialist Squirrel operative bring it! It is always fun and great for traffic to have a few flame threads, but don’t think I am going to let you waste my time. Honestly, there is too much to do my fellow Americans!
If you want to make my day, call yourself Grizzly and work hard with me to live up to that old nickname of E. W. Everson. I know first hand it is not easy. It takes Temerity, and a lot of Grizzly to move these mountains we have before us.

Ever Since, July 27th, 2007 I have worked day and night for the Grizzly Groundswell membership. My family and business capital along with my sacred honor were pledged to this movement. Well, the party has ran out of wine and the only cheese has been stolen by our elected officials to trade for more of our liberties and freedoms. With no hope of seeing membership or this Conservative movement take itself seriously online today and monetize and support this effort, I have had to make the gut wrenching decision to shut this old Grizzly down April 29th, 2010.
My wonderful authors that have done such a great job on all my sites and online magazines will be relieved of their duty on all the sites, www.grizzlygroundswell.com, www.wggrn.com, and www.socialistsquirrel.com as of April 29th, High Noon. Temerity Magazine and the WGGRN quarterly magazine will be shut down as well.
The talented Radio Hosts will go silent April 29th at High Noon as the 24/7 station is shut down.
It is time for this Conservative movement to monetize itself and support itself as only honorable movements must grow into. I only regret that it did not monetize itself fast enough for me and my household.
April 29th, Everything that was Theodore Media, and the Grizzly Groundswell goes black. I will emerge May 1st a Grizzly Army of one.
Responsible for only my own effort.
The Grizzly Groundswell will become one brand, one message, one effort.
I want to thank all my dear friends, members and fellow grizzly! It has been a wonderful ride and I thank you for all you have done for this movement. I hope I taught you well, because it is now up to you to host your fellow patriots, and unite their thought, voice and image. I hope you stay in touch and tune in to read, listen and see what is growling Grizzly and take advantage of any new opportunities that should be coming soon.
I have united the Conservative thought, voice and Image across this nation since July 27th, 2007. Now it is time to share my vision, my message, and grow this Grizzly Groundswell in a totally new way as you grow your effort for all our future.
